This is a non-contact high-intensity class for all fitness levels. Trust me, you're gonna sweat and work really hard. This class consists of jumping rope, yoga stretching, shadow boxing, fighting stances and angles, punches, kicks, knee clenches, bocks and counters, with Thai pads and a partner. You will be taught combos, while learning to punch, kick, and hold Thai pads. This is an all-around full-body workout. The class is about 60 minutes. This class requires hand wraps and 16 oz boxing gloves. Hand wraps are available for purchase as the front desk for $10.
This class can be a workout, but mostly focuses on slowing things down and diving into the structure and art of the Tang Soo Do practice. Since it is the opposite of kick-boxing, it can be a great two-part combo class if one is able. We will still be kicking and punching, but with a more advanced technical curriculum. More is expected with the adults when it comes to the cleanliness of the hyungs/forms, 1 steps/3 steps. The class runs for about 60 minutes. White Karate GIs are required. Please contact us before buying your GIs. A specific type is needed for this class.
